This week is a very emotional week for our family. Nathan's younger Brother Anthony would have been 23 years old today, but eight years ago, on Memorial Day, May 27, 2002 he was tragically killed in a snowmachining accident. Anthony was an amazing young man with a heart of gold! One thing that I really remember, is when we would go anywhere, if Anthony was there, he would run and open the car door for me before I would get out. Something silly, but I always noticed and thought how sweet he was! Each year on his Birthday we go and let balloons "go to heaven" at his grave. So in the same week that we go to the cemetary to celebrate his birthday, we also remember the day that we lost him. I am sure he is doing amazing work for our Father in Heaven though!
"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will---to your surprise---miss them profoundly." While we are trying to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about!

This post brought tears to my eyes. I'm so sorry! What a neat thing your family does to remember him.
